A trailer parking checklist before you reserve

A trailer-only reservation can involve different space, support and access requirements from parking a bobtail or a complete truck-and-trailer combination. Ask the operator the questions below before paying, and keep the answers with your reservation.

1. Describe the actual equipment

Provide the trailer type, overall dimensions and whether it will remain attached to a truck. Mention any equipment or cargo characteristics the operator should review. Ask whether your proposed use is permitted. A location that accepts trailers does not necessarily accept every trailer, cargo type or storage period.

2. Confirm the permitted ground and approach

Get the precise entrance and parking area, not just a street address. Ask whether the trailer will use an assigned space and how it should be positioned. Do not assume that nearby business parking, a drive-through, an alley or open neighboring land is part of the reservation.

Review an actual entrance photo when one is available. Aerial imagery is helpful for orientation, but its age and angle may hide gates, obstructions, changes to the surface or a difficult turn. A map route is not a truck-clearance guarantee.

3. Ask about trailer support and surface conditions

Confirm the operator's requirements for landing-gear support and parking on the site's surface. Ask how weather may affect access and whether the location has restrictions that apply to detached trailers. Follow the equipment manufacturer's guidance and the operator's verified rules; a general checklist does not replace them.

4. Understand what is included

Ask which features are actually provided at that property. Lighting, gates, cameras, on-site staff, restrooms, electrical connections and overnight occupancy are separate questions. An operator should identify which are available rather than using a broad security promise as a substitute for details.

For West Pima and East Pima, ask SPS about your equipment and any particular amenity you need. Confirm available space and the current entrance instructions before parking.

5. Compare the whole reservation

Check the total for your dates, number of spaces, fees and any taxes shown before payment. Read the cancellation and refund terms. For a longer stay, distinguish a fixed-term reservation from a recurring agreement, including the end date and how renewals or extensions work.

Only use the payment destination supplied for the actual property. TPC customers at Martin Ave and Wellton should continue through TPC. SPS inquiry forms and chat are not places to enter card numbers.

6. Save the details and a contact

If a detail is unclear, ask before arrival. An empty-looking area or an expired reservation is not permission to occupy space.
